By Stuart Simpson; This is a short 2 minute video of the 2 Whale Sharks we (Stuart Simpson) saw at Chumpon Pinnacle in Koh Tao!
The dive site is quite far off and drops sharply from 15m to 30m+! It has lots of beautiful and vertical walls and literally thousands of fish.
The two Sharks are about 5m and 6m long (both are juveniles and female!)
Even when cruising calmly like they were here they were still very difficult to catch up and overtake as they are very powerful fish – you can tell from the camera shake how hard I was working – that was also a lot to do with the excitement at seeing these creatures and they are simply amazing to watch and a privilege to be around!
They are so much more impressive for real but I hope I can do them some justice! Enjoy.
